Grace Han’s visit to Cromwell Place brings an unprecedented stylish look to this Grade II listed monument and a fresh ambience to the old-fashionedtownhouses.Behind the scenes, there is a warm and touching story between a mother and her daughter.

Ms. Anita Wong, an elegant woman rich in artistic aptitudebased in the United Kingdom, is actually a rare talent from Taiwan. Ms. Wong turned nature’s gifts of rain, dew, wind and snow into numerous beautiful landscape paintings. It was also in London that she met the love of her life and gave birth to Grace, the designer of Grace Han.

Having been with her mother since her childhood, Grace has been nurtured by the arts and has developed a strong artistic character. After the death of her mother, Grace encapsulated her feelings for her mother into folds, and embeddedthe cherished memories into the intricate details of each and every fold. The Grace Han flagship store in London is also a fulfillment of Grace’s mother’s wish to open a gallery in London.

Grace cuts out her creative work from the leather she is so passionate about.Just like her mother painted on a canvas, she paints on the leather. The Love Letter bag favored by HRH Catherine, Princess of Walesis an exemplification of Grace’s clever design. Its envelope flap resembling the curve of a smile conveys the timelessness and beauty of love, which is the heart-warmingmessage that Grace hides in the details of her work.

The rapid streams, misty rivers of clouds,as well asotherlegacies passed down from Ms. Anita Wong’s workare now having presence in London, with their contours getting clearer. Such fusion of arts combining quiet andreserved style with gentle and strong spirit, whether expressed through a paintbrush or leather,is the serene power that Grace Han presents to the world. As for the tenderness hidden in the folds, embodying the hopes that time can be folded, where we can meet our loved ones again, in time.
